Preparing for wildfire season
Wildfires are becoming more common in many parts of Oregon. Back in 2020, a wildfire destroyed over 500 homes and business, leaving the people of Lane County devastated. Needing to help educate residents, property owners and businesses on how to prepare and prevent wildfires, we partnered with Lane Electric, a member-owned electric utility serving almost 11,000 members. Our goal was to create a comprehensive marketing campaign rooted in audience research and creative strategy that drove engagement.
The creative direction was based in trauma-informed messaging and took a more positive approach by empowering people to making preparedness achievable. By leveraging a Swiss style graphic approach, the visuals were fun and engaging while educating in a simplistic way. The campaign tactics included: social, digital banners, microsite, print collateral, radio and video.
